Bernardino Calls it a Career at Virginia

After 35 years as the head coach at the University of Virginia, Mark Bernardino announced his retirement on Monday. Bernardino, a native of Pennsylvania, was the longest-tenured coach at Virginia and enjoyed great success during his time in charge of the men’s and women’s programs. He guided his teams to 27 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, 16 for the men and 11 for the women.
