Back in my day – which was further back than I can to mention – the Brits were the palest athletes in the pool! Even the Scandinavians had tan lines! Not for the the Brits, though… To a person, they were alabaster!

Good to see Mr. Peaty keeping that tradition alive.

I am most interested to see what Peaty does in the 200M. I think he has huge potential there. He’s a big favourite in the 100M and 50M. He also adds another dimension to the medley relay for GB.

I think the Brits are set to have a great World champs and may even finish top 4 in the medal tally by the end of it all.. I wouldn’t be surprised if they go 1-2 in both men’s 100 and 200 breastroke events

Here’s my brits prediction medals:

Halsall – 50 free silver
Peaty – 50/100 breast golds
Carlin – 400 free bronze, 800 free silver
SMOC – 200 IM silver
Murdoch – 100 breast bronze
Walker-Hebborn – 100 back bronze
men 4×100 medley – gold

There’s also the mixed relays medal potentials which I don’t care to predict as we completely have no idea which swimmers of any country will swim which mixed relay events.

Verram

Aswimfan, no medals predicted for men’s 200m breast?

Verram

Send Murdoch and Jamison over to Australia .. We can do with some male breastrokers here
