Well I know who I’m picking for the ’36 LONDON Olympics in women’ s 50-100 fres AND 100 fly.

Any guesses???

In fact en route t Kazan in August think I”ll stop off in London and lay a few quid down. Bet I could get some staggering odds.

As with Manon Manaudou-Bosquet, I actually hope the girl finds their own path in sports if they so choose and a part of me would almost rather see them decide them that javelin throwing or beach volleyball might be a better option where they wouldn’t have quite the same pressure of living up to Mom’s sporting success.

You cannot be anymore swimming royalty than a Caulkins-Stockwell, and yet none of Caulkins-Stockwell children became elite swimmer.
However, once in a blue moon, there’s always a mcKeon, or two.

Ender-Matthes was fairly royal, aswimfan (despite what followed ’72) and Franzi swam quite well… not to their standard, of course.

I was going to say about Ender-Matthes too, but not sure if they had any children since they were divorced after a few years.

aswimfan, they had one girl … and then Kornelia Ender had a second girl with her second husband, a former GDR athlete (decathlete, 8th, 1980 OLympics) who was later a world-champion bob-sledder, Steffen Grummt

aswimfan, Tracy and Mark’s son William emerged at Australian Nationals this year going 55.1 in the 100 back and 22.6/49.9 in the sprint frees. He’s only 18, so we could be seeing more of him in the future. I wonder if he’ll follow in his parents’ footsteps and go to Florida.

How is Alex Popov and Daria Shmeleva’s son doing now?
