Ouch! Dislocations are SO PAINFUL! I think I take it for granted how tough these athletes are; something like this gives me a reality check. Good luck, Emily!

Better now than in 12 months time I suppose…Madison Wilson may get an early chance to shine!

Kirsty Coventry had a similar injury in the lead up to London Olympics.. I don’t think Seebohm has a severe injury judging from her tweets, hoping she’s back to her best soon

I hope she can recover very well. I was hoping for a 1-2 for Australia in the 200m backstroke at Worlds. Madison Wilson and Ms. Seebohm are both critical for Australia’s success in the 4x100m medley relay, given the weakness of the breaststroke leg.

For33,

I suppose you meant 100 backstroke…

For someone who isn’t a distance swimmer, a good solid fitness base often is more than enough to get them through short term training disruptions. As long as she can get her kick back together in a few weeks, she’ll probably be fine and in great shape come Russia.

Sorry for Emily, I hope she will get well soon. But this sentence made me laugh so hard:
” I didn’t even know how to sign my name … I had never done it before” 😀
